Last night marked the first episode in the 4th season of AMC’s hit show Mad Men. Set in the 1960s in New York, the men and woman of this show all work for the same advertisement agency. The Emmy and Golden Globe winning series has more than entertained its audiences, but greatly influenced current fashion trends with the iconic costumes seen on set. Also, the constant cigarette smoking and drinking on the jobs reminds all viewers of a different corporate America.

And now, we at Boom Boom are going to assign a different flavor of Boom Boom to some of the top characters in the show.

Don Draper – The main character of the show, a conflicted and mysterious advertisement Exec with a family. Don would do best with Cinna-Mint flavored Boom Boom. He needs a powerful boost of energy to get him through the day, and the strongest medicine available is exactly what he needs.

Peggy Olson – Starting as a secretary in the firm, Peggy has risen through the ranks to now holding an important role as a woman in business. She would perfer the Berry Breeze flavor of Boom Boom since she needs a good deal of energy to get through the day, and the refreshing berry flavor would keep her creativity unique.

Betty Francis – Don’s ex-wife and mother of their three children. Betty would use the Tropical Rush flavor of Boom Boom most successfully since she needs a ton of energy to look after her children. The recent change in her life can be remedied by the intense and unique scent of the tropical rush.

The United States 2 to 1 loss to Ghana marked the end of our nation’s attempt to win the world cup. Yes, we lost this game, but the most important aspect of this match was patriotism. Americans from every State in the country watched this game rooting for our nation.

Roughly 19.4 million American viewers watched this televised soccer match, beating out the 1994 World Cup final of Brazil vs. Italy.  This is no surprise considering each and every time you log onto Facebook or any other type of social media site, you are immediately greeted by friends who have changed their profile picture to an American soccer star or their status to a cheering shout.

There is no doubt about it, our soccer team will be loved – win or lose. Sadly, this loss came in over time as the mannerless Ghana team did everything in their power to waste time after they gained the lead. Completely classless and illegal, the cheap tricks used by Ghana further upset Americans as the final whistle was blown.

Despite this unpleasant ending, Americans held their heads high. Showing off their pride, and knowing that they had more class than to pull such immature moves as the Ghana national team, the USA left South Africa with more fans than ever before.
