Where’s the best place to party with some Boom Boom?
It’s the question we all ask ourselves every Friday, Friday (sorry, I just had to throw in a Rebecca Black reference). We are done with class/work for the week….so what to do now? Chances are you will check with your friends or hit up Facebook for any upcoming Facebook events. And chances are, you’ll find all three types of party venues: bars, clubs, and house parties. So which is the best? Either way, you don’t want to forget your Boom Boom to invigorate yourself before participating in any party activity. Rev up your mind and your body will follow.
Bars
Bars are usually chill, fun, and social. There is nothing like heading down to your local bar for some good times with good friends. A little more intimate than clubs without the craziness of house parties, bars are an all-around good time. There are usually some pretty good specials if you pick the right night. And who could forget Happy Hour? 4-6 PM $2 dollar beers? We’re on it.
The Downside: If you aren’t 21, don’t even try. I’m pretty sure all bars stop admitting minors (even if it is also a restaurant) around 9 or 10 PM. Also, bars can get pretty packed and loud if you’re just looking to grab a few drinks and chill with your friends.
Clubs

Clubs are insanely fun, especially if you like to get your groove on and scope out that sexy guy or gal from across the floor. People usually dress to impress (i.e. Jersey Shore), so don’t be afraid to get your Guido on (disclaimer: this probably won’t impress anyone, besides the Guidettes, of course). As long as you find people to dance with, you should be good. With the drinks flowing, beats pumpin’, and Boom Boom in your pocket, clubs are some of the hottest places to be at night, especially if you are in a big city.
The Downside: Dancing isn’t for everyone, and it might be hard to sit and socialize if the music is too loud. Also, your shoes end up filthy afterwards.
House Parties
You gotta love house parties. They can be any size you want them to be, until the hoards of people start showing up. News of house parties spreads quickly through word of mouth, so be prepared. However, they usually turn out to be really fun and there is nothing better than some cheap keg beer and some Jungle Juice, especially if you’re in college. Parties are fun for the people throwing them and for the people attending.
The Downside: That being said, parties are fun until someone heaves in the corner. Usually super packed and dirty inside and not so much fun for the hosts who have to clean up the next day.
So which venue is best? Looks like it’s up to you–what your tastes are and what you feel like for the evening. The best part about it, though? Bring some Boom Boom and you’ll be guaranteed to have a good time, wherever you choose to be.
