Super Bowl 50 Was Insane!

"[When asked what surprised him most about humanity]: Man. Because he sacrifices his health in order to make money. Then he sacrifices money to recuperate his health. And then he is so anxious about the future that he does not enjoy the present; the result being that he does not live in the present or the future; he lives as if he is never going to die, and then dies having never really lived.” - Dalai Lama

The Dalai Lama hit this nail right on the head, didn’t he? It is so eye-opening to think about all of the decisions that we make that aren’t in line with what our priorities should be. Like decisions that conflict between money and health. We all want to be healthy physically, mentally, and financially. But, to be financially healthy we can easily work way too hard and create stress. Stress is really bad for us! It can age our bodies, leave us mentally exhausted, detract from having meaningful relationships, and even make us more prone to diseases. It’s easy to accidentally create a stressful life in our busy, modern world. Maybe we should take note of this wise quote and figure out how to simplify our lives and focus on lower stress versus piling on more and more work in order to buy things that we don’t really need.

Aromatherapy is a proven method to combat stress. It’s just one tool in the arsenal to put health where it should be on your list of priorities: at the top!

HERE’S WHAT’S BOOMING THIS WEEK!

Super Bowl 50 took place yesterday, and the Denver Broncos toppled the Carolina Panthers 24-10. Here are the 5 most remarkable (according to us) and BOOMING things that happened during the game:

1. Broncos’ linebacker Von Miller was named MVP with two (that’s right, two!) forced fumbles that both led to touchdowns. It’s great to see a defensive player get some glory in a game where quarterbacks, running backs, and wide receivers tend to shine the most.

2. Beyonce upstaged Coldplay at the Halftime show, and it was awesome. It seemed a bit out of place to have British rockers singing a soft emotional song with a lot of jumping up and down...that’s how halftime started. But when Beyonce was thrown in the mix she stole the show with her fierce, electrifying dancing. She was way more appropriate of a performer for an audience like American NFL fans. Bruno Mars wisely stuck to dancing like crazy in an arena where lyrics were tough to hear.
3. Best Commercial has to go to Heinz for their “Weiner Stampede”: Hundreds of weiner dogs wearing hot dog costumes running across a sunny field into the arms of human-condiments? There is no way to top that.
4. Best Movie Trailer: This has to go to “Jason Bourne”, which will be the fifth installment of the action series. While five movies may be pushing it, and the movie itself has a risk of being a bunch of mindless action with a plot that forgets everything that happened in the other Bourne movies, the preview was still awesome.
5. Peyton Manning’s Post Game Interview. You have to love the guy. Now that he’s secured his second Super Bowl ring, on top of a laundry list of NFL quarterback records, he has earned the right to retire. What was great about his post-game interview is that he awkwardly mentioned Budweiser twice even though they do not sponsor him. Rumors are abounding that since active players cannot endorse alcohol, his casual mentions of the brand name beer hint that he will soon announce his retirement. His quote was “I’m going to drink a lot of Budweiser tonight, Tracy, I promise you that.”
